chapter 1


I was running.I didnt want the firelord as my father.Why he wanted me would be forever
a mystery.'Did i lose them?' i asked my mind. I turned to see if they were there but no i lost them. 'Thank goodness' i thought.Now where to go,is unknown.I was walking though
a forest trying to find a road.It was dark now,but though the trees i could see the stars.
The full moon was coming near and will be tomorrow.'Hmm..full moon? just great..' i thought to myself. A memory stuck me.It was when my parents were still alive.-



*flashback:{shows a four year old giggling and being chase by a women} "Very funny Tori but please stop running sweetie you need to get ready." the women said. "fine but i want to wear the blue one!" the little me said."but this is the fire nation not the water tribe.Chou please tell her that." A man figure came into the room. "sweetie you sure you dont want to wear the pretty red dress??" I shook my head. "no i like the blue one daddy"
I smiled."well mollie i guess we have to go with the blue one" the father smirked.Mollie rolled her eyes. After five minutes i got dressed in the most beautiful blue dress. "mommy i told you before it would be very pretty!" i said smiling. -*flashback ends*-



I saw myself in the pond.'hmm..i still have the dress.. But i should gain some weight i look like a tooth pick..' i thought. When was the last time i worn a dress? then i remembered at my mothers funural.I wished i didnt bring that up.I didnt notice but i was too clouded up in memories i found myself at a town.It was dark so i decided i needed to find a inn.I checked my pockets and i only had four gold pieces.?I walked for five minutes till I finally found a inn.I walked though the entance and went to the counter.


"how may i help you miss?" a women asked me. "i need a room for one please." I had put two gold coins on the counter.The women got up from behide the counter and lead me to a room."here ya go miss and free breakfast in the morning too when you wake up"
i replied," thank you"After the women left the room i took a bath and when i was done i dressed into sleeping garments.They were red of course,and at the trim was a gold color.I had went to sleep.

The morning came and i woke up early and got dressed in my black kamino and my mothers black leggings and packed up.I went downstairs for breakfast.The tables already had food awaiting them. The woman that lead me to my room theand said "you woken early"I grinned and said, "i rise with the sun" and i sat down to eat.I started to eat a riceball and some soup with toast.It was kinda like Brunch.
Since i wont stop travling to eat lunch i might as well eat it here. Before i left i said "thank you"She replied "your welcome and it was a pleasure to have you here come back soon" the woman smiled.
I smiled back at her and then i exited.




With the two gold coins i bought a weeks worth of food and had put it in my pack.Where was i going to go? i thought. I decided later on that i should learn how to bend and that it might turn out useful.I knew the test to see if i was one or not.I put earth on one side,water on the other,a fire near air,and so i waved my hands over to see what would bend.


When i put my hands over the water and fire,i bended them both.


"ah!" i screamed and fell backwords.



I was very confused.I then remembered that my mother was from the northern water tribe,and my father from the fire nation.I breathed in and breathed out and shot out fire from my fingertips.Then i bended some water from a pond and gently bended it out of the pond.I stopped.I relized im a two bender.I started to walk again.I had to test it out somewhere.But where?A idea stuck me.


General Tai.Perfect.I walked back to where Tai's campsite was,and took me less then five hours  because i knew the path now.He saw me and his soldiers tryed to seize me."why have you came back?"Tai asked. "i dont know i like messing with you"i replied.They started to attack me.This was my cue.I started to firebend first,of course they had a advantage of knowing full  firebending,and ten soldiers against me also.
I started to waterbend and then thats when it confused them. "no wonder the fire lord wanted her as a daughter she can bend two elements!" one soldier cried. I ran back to the town and and went to the road and started running.General Tai and his men were chasing me .'oh angi{god}' i thought. I triped over something and fell into a world of black.
When i gained conisousness i found to see i was in chains,and apparently at Tai's campsite.I yelled to him and said."let me go!the firelord might have your head if you bring me to him in chains!" Tai chucked. "no he sent me this letter to do all at means to bring you to the palace"he said.


-*flashback:{it was a palace and i was at the throne room}



"yes your majesty?" i asked the firelord after he summoned me.


"aaaah..at last I meet you Tori.May I ask you a favor?"i replied,

"yes anything what is your favor?"he said,"i would like someone with strength,rage,and beauty as my daughter."He waited for me to reply to his request. "im sorry but..my parents died and i felt too much sorrow,and i dont want that pain on me again.."He said, "i feel your sorrow i understand." -*flashback ends*-

why would he do this?i thought.he said he understood.i think i guessed wrong."hey big strong soldier guy.." the man that was guarding blinked and  said, "yes princess tori?" hmm..i thought."if im a princess why am i chained up then?" The guard chuckled because he knew where this
was going, "so you dont run.The counsel already comfirmed it.you are the princess of the fire nation."
Many days past until they were at the palace.They unchained me,and put me in the throne room as before so long ago. "this time,i wont take no as a answer."the fire lord stated. "father.." the new title sounded new to me. "i..need a teacher for my bending."said i. "yes.i shall get you the finest teachers for your elements." he said."but you must change into different clothes" said he.
A maiden lead me to my courters,and i had taken a bath and changed into a beautiful red dress with a gold dragon at the bottom above the trim.I had put my hair into a bun.Then i put my tiara on.i looked into the mirror."i really do look like a princess"i said and smiled to myself.I went downstairs,and there was already a party there. A speaker said "Presenting Princess Tori Saito."
Everyone looked at me and I smiled.I eat dinner,talked to some people my age,and danced,and finally after the party had been over,'this is boring' i thought.


I dressed into a red kamino and my mothers black leggings. I had put my birth fathers' black sword on too.I took my bun down also.I looked like a warrior i thought. I was ready to start my bending lessons, and less then five months i master firebending.She said i must have already knew most of it.


The waterbending,was harder.I finally mastered it in six months.Since i mastered my elements,i needed a plan to get out of this palace.I went to the throne room to tell my adopted father something."yes my daughter? why had you summoned me?" he asked.


i answered, "i like to travel.i dont want to be stuck in this palace forever.so i came up with something.If i do the inpossible fire dance,may i still be your daughter,but go as i wish with who i wish?" i asked.


he chuckled.

" you may preform the fire dance, but it has not been done for thousands of years.but you may try." he said. I had seen my birth father almost doing it right, but all he forgot was one simple fire punch.I started to preform, and the firelord was surpised that i knew how.I fliped,i twirled, i added fire here and there,last thing i had to do was the fire punch. Everyone just stared.


The firelord signed and said, "very well,i should have known you might have known it.you may leave as you wish"

and with that,i ran to my room and started packing.
As i left,the fire lord gave me a pedent,with the symbol of the fire element.


"be careful in the world out there.If my son dies,you might be the next to rule this nation one day." he said cautionly.


" i will and thank you father." and i turned my head to look back once more, and i was off.

After a year or so, i needed some adventure. It was even more boring then it was in the palace.One night when i was at the western air temple.I over heard drunk monks talking about the pedant of time. "i heard it can take you back and forth though time.But i heard the pedant was in the spirt oasis in the northern water tribe.But nobody bothered to go there.Its too cold!" said one.Another said, "havent you heard? there are atleast fifty babys and are going to be tested to see if it is the avatar.everyone knows a baby in the next nation should be born within a week after the previous avatar died." That didnt surpise me much as the time pedant.So i thought about where to go,and decided to go to the western air temple and make my way to the northern water tribe.


The fastest way is by boat,so i went on boat. It started to rain,so i let the rain fall on me.Thats when i met my little furry friend,kizmet.He is a brown cat,with just a little black straips on his back,but mostly covered with brown and a white belly.His tail looks like a racoon's.But i love that cat so i named him Kizmet.He follows me and i give him food.I never had a pet before.But i dont think of kizmet like that..i think of him as a companion,my prettie kittie. I smiled. "we are docking in two hours!" yelled out a sailor. "come on kizmet get in my pack." i said. I opened the pack for him to go it. He went in and sat there comfortly.I walked for hours until i found the western air temple. I found some parchment and wrote:

"Dear anyone who reads this,i am princess Tori and going to the northern water tribe to get the pendant of time at the oisis.If i am missing and not heard of for more then ten years,then that is what happened to me. from Princess Tori."

I hidden the note in a old room not used for and placed it in the closet.Now to journey to the northern water tribe.


I took a other boat to the northern water tribe.After weeks on the boat i finally could see the icebergs in the distance.After many hours we finally docked.I went off the boat and went into the city.It was very cold,so i bought a blue winter coat.Then i put my birth father's black cloak on.I went to the tribes palace.I pulled off the hood on my cloak."I am Princess Tori of the Fire Nation.I need to talk to your king." i said. The guard repiled,"Yes miss of course." He opened the doors to the palace.He lead me to the king."sir the princess of the fire nation wanted to talk to you." the guard said.The king turned to me."Yes princess Tori?" he asked. "i need to find the spirit oisis."i said. "may i ask why?" he said."i am waterbender so do not worry i will not harm your oisis." i repiled.I started to waterbend.The king widen his eyes.He turned to a guard. "show the princess the oisis."
The guard lead me to the back of the palace,and i went though the entrance.I stepped up to the pond.I saw the pedant.I picked it up and wore it.I closed my eyes,and everything
turned black.
